MY PERSONAL PLE: Verónica Cano Egea.

Concerning to my Personal Learning Environment, I have chosen five categories
to divide the elements (resources, activities, sources of information) used for the
management of my personal learning; the ones that I put into practice to create new
projects, the ones that I make use to reflect and get information, the ones that
I use to communicate with others as well as to share information, the ones that I
employ to save all this information and my source of inspiration.

Moreover, as for the design, it has a symbolic hidden meaning. In the middle
of it, several things are displayed, an avatar of myself between books and next to my
self a chameleon as a symbol that one of the characteristics of my PLE is the
flexibility or the capacity of adapting to the circumstances surrounding me.
Adding to this, the two circles have been merged as in a Venn’s diagram, as to form
an infinity symbol to portray that my PLE is something which is constantly
changing. Furthermore, in the background there is a picture which can be familiar
to most of us, the Main Street of America or the U.S. Route 66, as a metaphor of the
fact that a PLE is something which is endless.
Create:(seekpng.com)
- Baamboozle: this is a website where you can create your own “quiz”,
this is a very resourceful tool for learning, I use it in my workspace, to make students
learn while having fun playing cooperatively split up in teams. Moreover, I consider
that it is easier to use at class than Kahoot, since you as teacher, are the one who
decides if the answer that they give you is right or not, you don’t have to deal with
connection problems and speed is not important because sometimes faster is not
better.
- Kahoot : I use this application in a similar way to baamboozle, students
are usually more motivated when they are competing between them and this is the
perfect tool to achieve that adding to the disguised element of noticing weaknesses
and strengths in students concerning to the theoretical elements.
- Miro : this is a genuine application that I have recently discovered where
you can organize your information creating different kinds of diagrams.
- Prezi : this is a very useful tool to make presentations in a more dynamic
way than powerpoint.
- Ilovepdf: with this tool you will be able to change, convert and adapt files
in the format that you desire as well as combining different files into just one and
it’s totally free!.
- Powtoon: this is another application that I usually use to make presentations,
in this case you can use avatars to make it more realistic and it gives you the option
to make videos and upload them to youtube.
- Movavi: as I have had to make many videos and we have a lot more to do, this
programme is the ideal tool to create your videos in the most efficient manner, with
a handful of settings that you can control without difficulty.
- Microsoft word document, excel, ppt: the most common ones are
documents in any format depending on the utility that you want that document for.
- Google docs : this is the perfect tool that you use to create the same types of
documents that you could do with Microsoft Office but it gives you the advantage of
being able to work online in group and save it in real time.
Read:(pinterest.com)
- Wordreference: this is a tool to broaden our vocabulary bank and it even
has a forum to solve our linguistic queries.
- Linguee: in comparison with Wordreference, this tool puts the word in
context and you can detect the connotation that you want to express with the word
that you have the intention to use in your native language.
- Google scholar : here you can find plenty of articles to research and
reflect about theoretical tenets.
- Wikipedia : this website is the most comfortable one to answer your
problems but it is not the most reliable one.
- Teachers/students/friends/family (shutterstock.com): this is one of the
greatest and most enriching source of the information that I get in my day to day life.
Communicate and share:(getdrawings.com)
- Zoom: this is the videoconference tool that I use in my job, it is very advantageous
since you can share your own screen, share a whiteboard and different tricks which are ideal
to make this situation easier.
- BB Collaborate (academic purposes), Skype(social purposes).
- Whatsapp: I use it not only with a social interest but also to keep up to date with
university notices and announcements.
- Facebook: most of my classmates don’t use this social network, however, in my case
it is the one which I most employ due to the fact that I am in several pages where you can get
information about relevant issues as well as sharing posts of different tasks that I am developing
or tasks which have been carried out in my English academy.
- Instagram : this is an application that I am not quite fond of making use of it, but it’s
very useful to find resources about teaching methodologies or activities to implement them and
I share the activities that I have carried out as well.
- AV, Gmail and Outlook(sending emails, tasks and reports with academic,
work and social purposes as well as obtaining information).
- Blogger: thanks to this website I can develop my work in this subject and show you our
weekly progress.
Collect: (dreamstime.com)
-My mind(pngitem) and Google drive: these are the two sources of storage of
my PLE.

Inspire: (clipart-library.com).
- Youtube: with all the videos that I have to create, this is ideal to broaden my creativity.
- Pixabay: this is great to acquire very good quality pictures.
- Spotify: music is always a wellspring of inspiration, I love discovering new songs and
playlists and it makes me feel better working while listening to music, I recommend to you
the playlist called "fuera estrés".
- Pinterest: this is a inexhaustible source of resources.
- Kindle: one of my greatest passions is reading, kindle is also great to use nowadays
to show stories to your children by zoom and get inspiration from educational handbooks.
- Friends(dreamstime.com): this is the most inmediate source of new ideas, learning by sharing!

I hope that you enjoy reading this post and learn throughout it!

See you next week,

Verónica

MY PERSONAL PLE: Fátima El Mnari Meseguer

Hi guys!! Welcome again to our blog. This week we are presenting you our PLEs. I hope you enjoy my PLE'S GALAXY💓

My personal learning environment is composed by different tools, resources, abilities and networks that I include in my own process of learning. But not only in the University framework but also in other settings as I study at the conservatory (music school) and at the Language School.

Thus, in each component I have presented those tools apart from the mechanisms and activities that I use to accomplish them in my daily life.

Within Reading I have showed the tools in which I engage reading. However not literally the action of reading but also decoding information by hearing and analysing.

TOOLS:I use Word Reference for translating some term that I didn’t understand in english or in arabic ( since I study it in the Language School) and even the Dictionary of the Real Spanish Academy to know the meaning of complex terms in spanish.

Also the Aula Virtual to read how to accomplish the tasks, Gmail to get informed about instructions and news from teachers, and for reading academic articles pdf is very useful for me. Moreover, to gather information I read “El Pais” newspaper.

But it is also very effective learning topics in general listening podcasts that rtve or other websites publish.

I also access to knowledge through text books which I use in some subjects and when studying arabic.

In addition, to improve my knowledge about music, I use to enter YouTube in order to listen to music pieces’ interpretation and IMSLP that is a music library in which you can download musical scores.

Finally, I attend conferences at University to be informed about innovative programs that it proposes such as ERASMUS or others very different tackling topics related to Sostenible Development ( at Odsesiones webpage).

Of course, when accessing information nowadays everybody uses Google, essential to use the previous tools.

MECHANISMS: to engage the process of reading or acceding to the information I carry out research, metacognition, selection of reliable knowledge and contrasting, reasoning, connections among different ideas and overall, interest, energy and enthusiasm.

ACTIVITIES: the mentioned mechanisms are applied in routinary activities like reading academic documents, reviewing a video and attending a conference or simply our teacher lessons.

Otherwise, when Doing or Reflecting while doing I consider fundamental understanding perfectly and clearly what we have searched in the previous procedure. Indeed, trying to explain that information we are reflecting about it and recreating that knowledge, emerging in that way our own ideas and definitions.

TOOLS:Once we have read the academic documents and informations about specific contents of the University, I normally create my own schemas or mind maps in documents through Drive, Word or Powerpoint services or even by hand in pieces of paper. Besides, when we have to expose any presentation in classroom I also appeal to the said resources but frequently I get used to other more attractive platforms such as Prezi or when making videos, Inshot.

I also classify the Blog tool within this component as I realized that showing our knowledge to other people and trying to explain it in the best understandable possible way, we are thinking and reflecting while doing. We are breaking down our whole learning process and reasoning about the steps of acquisition of information. I have experienced it that year since I have never used this resource. In RICT subject we had to up-date our blog every week describing information that we have gathered.

Finally, as I am a musician I have to perform concerts every trimester. Throughout this activity I am thinking deeply about what emotions and feelings I want to show the spectators and how I will do it.

MECHANISMS: for presenting the information successfully I bring about self-reflection, perseverance, critical thinking, analysis, interpretation of the contents but, overall structuration, comprehension, concentration, coherence and order.

ACTIVITIES:I would highlight academic expositions, musical concerts, tasks of each University subject, organization of exam topics and contents, edition of videos.

Finally, another important component is Sharing or what is also called the PLN (Personal Learning networks). It is indispensable within out PLE because through sharing, discussing and dialoguing is arising added knowledge.

For that the tools that I usually use are WhatsApp, Hangouts and Bb Collaborate effective for doing video calls and share personal information; my family since I talk with them about topics related to my several learning setting and also about others that are not related with my academic life but that provide strategies and knowledge about how to handle that ones. Another important tool is friends and partners meetings, where we discuss about the tasks that we have to do in group at University and at the same time provide information and different points of view that allows the comprehension and consideration of personal perspectives and aspects.

The mechanisms that we accomplish are empathy, communication skills, assertiveness, persuasiveness, dialogue, teamwork and tolerance.

The activities where I can practice this component is in friends and family meetings, in University lessons and my music lessons when I talk to my teachers about the progress of my goals and outcomes or in social media conversations.

For finishing I want to explain the metaphor of the galaxy that I try to represent. It means that the PLE is the galaxy. And as we know a galaxy is composed by planets, stars and other particles that are essential for the galaxy to exist. This elements are the three components of the PLE and, thus, they have to remain connected and in armony to favoritize the existence of PLE.

MY PERSONAL PLE: Lucía Alarcón Galván

Hey everyone!! I am Lucía and this is my Personal Learning Environment (PLE), which I tried to portray in a graphic representation:

As for the type of diagram, I decided to go for a Venn Diagram, for two main reasons. Firstly, all the 3 areas (reading, reflecting while doing and sharing) are what form someone's Personal Learning Environment, when thinking of them as a whole that combines the sources and strategies that we frequently use to learn. Secondly, the 3 areas also might interact with each other, since a lot of the tools and mechanisms used in one area can probably be applied to another one as well, depending on the use we give them. With a Venn Diagram, these relationships can be portrayed in a somewhat easier way.

Regarding the specific parts of my PLE, I’ll try to explain the use I give to each of them. Although most of the tools are digital ones, I also tried to include some that are analogical (because I still like not to rely exclusively on technologies for some things).

  • Reading. There are obviously a lot of different sources for accessing knowledge, but I just included the ones that I frequently use.
- YouTube: one of the most direct and easy ways to look for information, and efficient through the use of both audio and visual components. I especially love it for language learning.
- Blogs and websites: I read some of them, especially when it comes to language learning and music composers. I also use them as a sharing tool (to discuss about topics on them).
- Online Newspapers: to access the latest news.
- Books

  •  Reflecting while doing
- Drive documents: I tend to write a lot of ideas and works on them.
- Notebooks: this is one of the examples of non-digital tools. I use notebooks A LOT. For everything. From writing down ideas (about personal projects) to learning languages
or writing my own musical works.
- Canva: this is an extremely cool graphic design tool that helps me reorganize information in the most eye-catching way possible.

  • Sharing
- Meetings and discussions with friends about common interests: it is undeniable that we can learn a lot from and with others. But it took me a while to realize this.
I now often meet with musician friends and it is both inspiring and enriching, since I learn about both musical and personal aspects with them.
- Discussing class related topics with partners
- Video and phone calls
- Conversations through texting apps

It is important to highlight that our PLE is never static; it continues to change and evolve over time, adapting to our needs in terms of learning.

MY PERSONAL PLE: Álvaro Ramos García

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to what is presented here and now as my personal learning environment. Now i must admit that my learning surroundings are very thus wide, impossible to put in a mere diagram, so i have intended to put the most general ideas into this less specific diagram rigth here, let us hope it is of your liking:

without further ado, whis is as far as this post is concerned, unfortunately, no moral values to share or philosophy to discuss, just the resources i learn from as to apply them to what i do 😬
